Can you believe that we are already starting the third week of August! It has been a great summer, but I am extremely excited for what is next. FALL! Decorations, sweat shirts, color of the leaves, apple orchards, holidays.. I could go on.
I have been secretly excited for about a month of the season change, so it was nice when I found the blog Taming Insanity this morning when checking my Twitter account. (thanks @mytimeasmom for the recommendation.) Momma Insomnia gives us her top ten list of why she is in love with Fall.
Are you excited to see the seasons change or do you wish we had more time for Summer?
From Fall to school starting back up, this next blog post is perfect! It may be for your kids, but I am going to find it useful when packing my lunches for the week! Randomosity offers a few great suggestions to help keep the kids lunches interesting now that they are heading back to school. The key is to plan head. If I do not pack my lunch in the evening I will pass right by the fridge and “not feel like it” in the morning. Nothing bothers me more than seeing frivolous charges to food shops on my bank statements and this is a great way to stop that.
Do you usually pack your lunch or head out during the work day?

I came across this blog post last week and I knew I had to share it on my new Monday Mentions.
I have been following Erin for a while now and we mostly have conversation during Wednesday night #commenthour on Twitter. (If you have not attended commenthour yet, you must. Great way to get some blog lovin)
The title of her blog is A Book for my Daughter. Her resume reads: “wife for 12 years, mother for 11, editor for 10, digital product manager for 1, and now blogger for 4 months. A few years ago, my then eight-year-old daughter told me that she wished I could write down all the things I told her so that she wouldn’t forget them when she got older.” What a wonderful idea.
I am not a mother yet, but when I read Erin’s post it made me really think about what kind of mom I will be or hope to be. When you have a moment please stop by and ready, Disappointment, A lesson learned. A wonderful story of how she handled her daughters first major heartbreak.
My second blog for the day is Three P’s in a Pod.
Tara’s bio: “I am lucky enough to be a stay at home mom and love it! I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and worked as a case manager for child services for about two and a half years before becoming a stay at home mom.“
She has started a segment called “Say Hi Sunday Blog Hop” This week there were 129 blogs that entered in the Sunday blog hop. This is a great place to meet new bloggers, share some comments, and get more love on your blog as well!
Swing by and check out all the wonderful stories and pick up her adorable button!
